MCU has been established under “Karnataka State Universities Amendment Act 2019,” and the infrastructure development is funded through the Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) scheme of the Ministry of Human Resources and Development. It is expected to give an impetus to academics and research in the state.
